Caramel apples make me think of 2 ery different times of year. Summer and Fall. In the summer you see caramel apples at county fairs and during the fall you see them at fall festivals and Halloween parties.

It's a perfect treat year around that everyone will love from the very young to the very young at heart.

These pops are easy to make they just take some time. Peeling the apples and cooking and pureeing took me at least 30 minutes. Making the caramel from scratch takes a little bit of time also.

Once you have chosen your apples (which for me was a no brainer, I am granny smith girl.) Honeycrisp, Gala, or even McIntosh red would be a really good apple for these wonderful pops. I do however do not recommend Red delicious as they have almost no flavor to them. You could try pairing a sweet apple and a tart to make these pops really shock your taste buds.

The creaminess of these pops are out of this world. My kids could not, would not believe me when I told them I did not use any kind of cream in these pops. My oldest daughter thought they were a little on the sweet side where my youngest daughter though they were more tart. I only used Granny smith apples. It's kind of cool how they each found their own flavor in the same pop. The individual plate sure is something. I thought they had the perfect balance of sweet and tart.

These delicious pops have all the flavor of county fair to fall festival anytime of year. Any time is a good time for a caramel apple. These pops are so creamy, sweet and rich tasting everyone will enjoy.
